June 29, 2008, 7pm, Greet the Artists, following Music in the Park which is sponsored by the Los Gatos Arts Commission, at a no-host cocktail reception in the patio of Dio Deka, the renowned Greek-American restaurant located in the Hotel Los Gatos at 210 East Main Street.

Dinner, by reservation to follow. Reservations for the dinner are limited. Send your check for $80 per person, Guild member or $90 per person non-member to P. O. Box 33025, Los Gatos, CA 95031-3025 to secure your place.

Welcome to the San José Opera Guild

The Guild was established in 1947, as an independent guild, to support Opera in the Bay Area. The Guild has taken the opportunity to support several opera companies, with an emphasis on education and a passion for young singers. We support:
   • San Francisco Opera;
          San Francisco Opera Guild’s Opera à la Carte
          San Francisco Opera Merola Opera Program
   • Opera San José;
          Opera San José’s Opera Outreach
   •  Peninsula Teen Opera

During the opera season, the Guild sponsors lectures and previews at three different venues to coincide with the San Francisco Opera and Opera San José’s yearly offerings.

The Guild organizes social events ranging from season opening dinners to educational programs. In addition, the Guild publishes a quarterly newsletter containing information on opera related events throughout the bay area.
